Board of Directors



Patrick Sedillo: President

Patrick and his wife, Cindy, moved to Green Valley in 2004. Patrick retired from IBM after a 32-year career. He is currently the Managing Broker and co-owner of HomeSmart Pros Real Estate. Patrick's extensive experience and community mindedness makes him the perfect person to steer the board and ship of the Community Foundation.

Marty Taylor: Vice President

Marty is retired from the banking industry. She and her husband Mike have lived and raised their children in Green Valley. Now, they spent their time in-between Texas and Green Valley with the grandkids. She is a talented jewelry designer and has her own line `Lazy T Jewelry'. We are fortunate to have had Marty serving the Community Foundation with her expertise and community knowledge.

Jim Nelson: Secretary

Jim Nelson came to Green Valley to serve as the Superintendent of Continental Schools. With a graduate degree from the University of Iowa, Jim has spent his career as an educator. He and his wife of 50 years, Candy, have two grown children. Giving back to this community is Jim's reason for serving on the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Julie Demchuk: Treasurer

Julie originated from London, England and has lived in Green Valley for over 17 years with husband Jeff and her two dogs Tuesday and Kita. Julie has been in the banking industry for her professional life and is currently Branch Manager for BMO Harris Bank in Green Valley. She has been a long time supported of the Community Foundation winning `Celebrity Waiter of the Year' twice. She feels an affinity for those that devote their time to charity work and is pleased to serve the Board of the Community Foundation

Directors

Dr. Zulma X. Barrios

Zulma "ZX" Barrios first came to Green Valley as a "snowbird", seeking respite from the cold winds of the prairies of Nebraska. She loved the Valley so much, she stayed. She joins the Foundation Board after three successful careers with large corporations: General Manager at Mutual of Omaha Companies, Vice President for Women and Diversity Leadership at The Gallup University and independent multicultural consultant to the Chairman's Council at State Farm Companies. She is an expert in leadership development. At present, she also serves as Senior Advisor to the Fundacion del Empresariado Sonorense, AC (FESAC) in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

Dr. Eva Maldonado

Eva came to Arizona from Miami, Florida. After retiring early from her first career in the Federal Court System, she runs Clinical & Forensic Psychology private practices in Tucson and Green Valley. She was raised in a military family where she was taught early on the importance of integrity, family, and service to others. It is her desire to empower others and create change by sharing her knowledge and experiences.

David Polsky

Originally from Greenwich, CT, Dave Polsky moved to Green Valley and opened his business, Dave Polsky's Tire and Auto Center in 1999. Dave has been married for 25 years, with 3 children. His oldest is in medical school and his twins are attending Pima Community College. Also active in Rotary, Dave serves on the Foundation Board to help support the community that has supported him.

Dave Sielken

Dave and his wife of 50 years, Linda, moved to Green Valley in January of 2014. This followed retirement after 46 years in the materials business, the last 40 serving the global semiconductor industry. He managed and was a member of several teams in his career that provided a broad perspective of resource generation and disbursement. A father of two and grandfather of four, Dave is an avid golfer as well as active in his HOA Board. He and Linda are full time "GV'ers" and enjoy many of the stimulating opportunities available in Southern Arizona.

Steve Oesterle

Steve came to Green Valley from Maryland 15 years ago so his young children could be close to their grandparents. He has a teenage son (Jackson) and a pre-teen daughter (Zoe). Steve is very active in the community from being a board member on the Continental School Board, Continental School Foundation Board and of course the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation. He also helps out the Salvation Army and Community Food Bank. Steve runs a local branch office for a residential mortgage company -Nations Lending. His wife of 20 years (Trina) is a top real estate agent at Coldwell Banker.

Kathy Wagner

Kathy has lived in Sahuarita for 40 years and is part owner of the popular Arizona Family Restaurant in Green Valley. Kathy has a passion for our community which she is able to now devote her time to the Community Foundation's board of directors. Her extensive business savvy and community support is of great importance to the Foundation. She is one of the most humble and sincere people I have ever met and it is a real pleasure to know her and serve with her.
