Based on the non-profit training work that the Foundation pioneered with the Non-Profit Learning Institute, begun in 2015 under the leadership of Bob Phillips, we are now expanding and broadening that work by creating the Community Development Hub.
The Community Development Hub will build a collaborative network of the leaders of area non-profits, businesses, education, social service, environmental, animal, human rights, economic development, art and cultural programs. The CDH will accomplish this through convening community conversations to determine and prioritize critical needs and then provide the following services as primary functions of the CDH
The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation greatly impacts our local community by providing educational support through their Learning Institute and by assisting with financial support through their regular grant and matching grant programs. The Foundation has assisted Equine Voices throughout the past 13 years by offering grants, matching grants and the latest a special animal fund designed to help those very animals in need during the COVID crisis. As a local non-profit equine rescue, Equine Voices is forever grateful for the emotional, financial and educational support the Foundation has provided over the years...
The COVID-19 Pandemic has created uncertain and difficult times for our community. The partnership between Valley Assistance Services and Greater Green Valley Community Foundation has grown to a new level, one of caring and making a community - wide difference together. We value our partnership with GGVCF and their support to Valley Assistance Services
As a new and rising nonprofit,BCA has had its share of challenges and transitions, now including the COVID pandemic. Every step of the way, GGVCF has provided essential partnership support, guidance and encouragement. On behalf of BCA's Board of Directors, I want to offer my sincere thanks to Michelle Phillips and the GGVCF Board for their visionary leadership that is so helpful to us and to our community.
The Sahuarita Food Bank & Community Resource Center has received consistent financial support, encouragement, and technical assistance from the GGVCF over the past six years. This has enabled us to feed more people, find more donors, and initiate a community resource hub. GGVCF is not only a foundation, but a real partner to us and many others in the community. We are very grateful!
Communities, nonprofit organizations, groups and individuals all benefit because of the work of the Community Foundation. Whether it's a grant in support of a specific program or project, establishing a special board directed fund, or providing inservice education for staff members, Michelle Phillips and the Board of Directors of the GGVCF have provided support, direction and leadership to help Tubac Center of the Arts serve as a venue for artistic expression, appreciation and learning for those who create and enjoy art in southern Arizona. GGVCF also steps up to the plate to take on special projects like the Javelinas de Tubac. The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation is critical to the continued health and vitality of communities throughout the Santa Cruz Valley.
